OUR FAQ

HOW DO I GET TO THE ISLAND?
Answer: Arrive via paddle, ferry, or your own boat. Start at shoreside parking and dock; we coordinate timing and keep access easy for you and your gear.
RETURNING GUESTS
Answer: Ask for a returning-guest code or a minimum-night exception. We’re happy to help repeat visitors.
COOKING OPTIONS
Answer: We provide cookware, basics, coffee/tea, and drinking water. Bring your food and any favorites. Grill, stove, or campfire.
FREE STUFF (YES, REALLY)
Free transport, camp chairs, firewood, lanterns, fire starters, and canoes/kayaks/paddleboards with life vests are included.
DOGS ON VACAY
Many stays allow well-mannered dogs after a quick screening. Naughty Dog Island is private and leash-free. Pet fee: $30/night per pet.
LOOKING FOR A SHORT STAY OR A DEAL?
Minimum nights ease as the season progresses. Flexible dates often unlock shorter stays and better prices.
ACCESS
Guests have private access to their stay plus shared island areas. Day visitors may pass through; nights are for overnight guests.
ISLAND ACTIVITIES
Trail walking, swimming, sunsets, hammocks, fishing, paddling, sauna, and lake plunges. Luggage storage is available for early/late arrival.
HOW PRIVATE IS THIS?
Six stays are spread across the island. Shared spaces exist, but sleeping and eating areas are private. Support is a text away.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Annabessacook Lake is a 1,400-acre local favorite with clear water, great fishing, and long-time neighbors.
GETTING TO THE ISLAND (DETAILS)
Arrive by your own boat or paddle; free ferry runs 9:45am, 3:00pm, 5:00pm. Special times are available for a fee.
OUTHOUSAPHOBES, REJOICE
Compost toilets are clean, ventilated, and surprisingly pleasant—designed for comfort, not compromise.
PACKING ADVICE
Pack light: food, layers, headlamp, sunscreen/bug spray, chargers, and a fishing permit if needed. We supply the rest.
REMOTE WORK
Cell service is strong (often 5G). Bring your cords; we have power. Ask if you need a hotspot.

Kent and the Reset Crew are available as needed. Day visitors may paddle in; nights are quiet and reserved for guests.

Lake breezes help, but it’s Maine—bugs exist. Bring repellent.

Eagles, osprey, loons, turtles, squirrels, and the occasional snake—no predators.
